The philosophy of Manley Baptist Church's Weekday Learning Center is to provide a warm and loving atmosphere where all children will grow and develop physically, emotionally, socially, intellectually and spiritually.The strengths of our program lie in our staff's sensitivity to each child's individual needs. Our staff members are trained professionals who provide developmentally appropriate activities to enhance the natural learning process and to ensure successful leaming experiences; which will in turn, develop a positive self-image in each child.

Learning Centers...

Our classrooms focus on fun-filled learning centers which promote the development of math, science, prereading, art, music, and social skills. Our teachers plan learning activities which enhance the development of fine motor skills, while the use of playground, playroom equipment, and the gym help children develop gross motor skills. We incorporate the use of home living centers, nature centers, book centers, puzzle centers, and block centers in our daily activities. We include weekly units of study, as well as Bible story units in our learning process. We believe that "fun-filled learning" occurs naturally when children are properly supervised by trained professionals, who provide the proper guidance. We want learning to be fun and the children to feel good about themselves and their accomplishments.

Hours of Operation and Enrollment:

Full-time:Monday - Friday 6:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Part-time: For 3 year olds: Tuesdays & Thursdays: 8:15 a.m. - 2:45 pm.
For 4 year olds: Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursdays: 8:15 am - 2:45 pm.
(The part-time program follows Hamblen County School System for closures.)

The center accepts enrollment for children ages six weeks to five years of age, for full-time care. We also provide child care services for school-age children through fifth grade during the summer and on days that public schools are closed.
